Selling Point
860–960 MHz UHF RFID for Metal Assets
This Anti-Metal UHF RFID Sticker Tag operates at 860–960 MHz and complies with ISO 18000-6C, using a ferrite shielding layer to reduce RF interference caused by metal surfaces. It is designed for server racks, machinery, metal cabinets, warehouse equipment, and industrial assets requiring UHF RFID identification.
Thin Flexible Structure for Curved Metal Surfaces
The tag supports PET and FPC substrates with a thin, flexible construction for curved cylinders, narrow equipment edges, and recessed metal surfaces. Compared with rigid anti-metal tags, the flexible structure is suitable for installations where available mounting space or surface curvature limits the use of thicker RFID tags.
Custom Printing and RFID Encoding
The white printable surface supports thermal-transfer and offset printing for logos, barcodes, and serial numbers, while encoding options include NDEF records for NFC, EPC data for UHF, or unique IDs. Tags can be supplied blank for in-house programming or pre-encoded according to project-specific data requirements.

UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag Applications for Industrial Asset & Equipment Management
1.UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag for IT & Data Center Asset Management
Traditional barcode labels can become difficult to scan on metal server racks, network cabinets, and IT equipment, especially when assets are densely installed. The 860–960 MHz UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag uses a ferrite shielding layer to reduce metal-related RF interference and supports ISO 18000-6C systems. Its flexible PET or FPC construction fits server racks, switches, storage devices, and equipment panels, supporting digital asset identification, inventory checks, maintenance tracking, and data center bulk procurement.
2.UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag for Metal Tooling & Logistics Returnable Equipment
Manual identification of metal tooling, containers, pallets, and returnable transport equipment requires repeated barcode scanning and visual verification, increasing warehouse labor during frequent circulation. The UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag is designed for direct attachment to metal surfaces and supports 860–960 MHz RFID systems for automated identification. Its thin flexible structure fits metal bins, tooling fixtures, carts, cylinders, and narrow mounting areas, making it suitable for warehouse inventory, production-line tooling management, and reusable logistics equipment tracking.
3.UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag for Power & Industrial Equipment Inspection
Tracking inspection records by handwritten labels or manually scanned barcodes can make it difficult to match equipment with maintenance history and inspection schedules. The ISO 18000-6C UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag provides an electronic identity for metal electrical cabinets, industrial machinery, control equipment, and other fixed assets. The ferrite shielding layer helps reduce RF interference caused by metal surfaces, while PET or FPC options support curved or space-restricted installation for power plants, factories, substations, and industrial maintenance programs.
4.UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag for Medical & Laboratory Equipment Management
Metal housings and compact installation spaces can make conventional labels unsuitable for identifying laboratory and medical equipment. The thin flexible UHF RFID Anti-Metal Tag supports attachment to metal instrument surfaces while operating at 860–960 MHz under ISO 18000-6C standards. It can be used for laboratory analyzers, diagnostic equipment, medical carts, stainless-steel cabinets, and precision instruments, enabling equipment identification, inventory control, maintenance records, and location management for hospitals, laboratories, and research facilities.

FAQ
Q: Why do I need an anti-metal tag? Can't I just use a normal RFID label?
A: Normal RFID labels don't work on metal because the metal surface interferes with the antenna signal, reducing the read range to almost zero. An anti-metal tag has a built-in spacer or special substrate that separates the antenna from the metal surface, so it reads clearly and reliably at full range even when attached directly to steel, aluminium, or other metals.
Q: What types of anti-metal tags do you offer?
A: We offer PCB hard tags for durable IT and industrial use, ceramic mini tags when you need a very small footprint for tools or medical instruments, and flexible labels with foam backing for curved surfaces like gas cylinders or metal drums. If you are unsure which type fits your needs, just tell us about your assets and working environment, and we will recommend the most suitable option.
Q: Can the tags handle outdoor or tough environments?
A: Yes, our industrial-grade PCB and ceramic tags are built to withstand tough conditions including temperatures from –40°C to +150°C, rain, dust, UV exposure, and contact with oil, fuel, or cleaning chemicals. We also offer IP68 fully sealed versions for the most demanding outdoor or washdown applications, so just let us know your operating conditions and we will match you with the right tag.
Q: What's the typical read range on metal?
A: Read range depends mainly on the tag size, but as a general guide, our small tags under 15 mm can reach 1 to 3 metres, standard tags between 25 and 50 mm achieve 5 to 8 metres, and larger industrial tags over 50 mm can read from 8 metres up to 15 metres or more when used with a standard 4-watt UHF reader. We will help you find the right balance between tag size and performance for your specific application.
